Thanks to those who downloaded and tried TromPhone!

In order to be listed on the App Store, there is a $100 yearly fee for developers.

I couldn't justify keeping up with that for a silly free app, so it got de-listed.

If Apple ever provides a way to distribute apps for free TromPhone may live again.

Slide Indicator

It works like this: (for real)

Move your phone towards and away from your face to change pitch. Tap the screen to play a note.

The slide indicator shows you which note to hit next for the currently selected song.

You're in control of the tempo and how long to hold each note.

Hold down on the screen and "slide into" the next note to add a glissando just like a real trombone.

Songs

There's a bunch of built-in songs you can play:

  • Happy Birthday
  • When the Saints Go Marching In
  • Jingle Bells
  • Auld Lang Syne
  • Take Me Out to the Ball Game
  • Pomp and Circumstance
  • For He's a Jolly Good Fellow
  • The Star Spangled Banner
  • O Canada
  • La Cucaracha
Record yourself playing

Use Practice mode to just play around.

Once you got the hang of it, tap Record to create a video of yourself playing one of these songs to send to a friend.

Good for a crazy birthday greeting.

Or send a rendition of Pomp and Circumstance to a new graduate, Jingle Bells during the holidays, Auld Lang Syne at New Years, you get the idea.

Family Sharing is enabled so the whole family can get in on the action.

Treat your friends like Top Brass, send them a unique trombone birthday or holiday video greeting today!
